Graduate Teacher, Counselor, School Administration Loan/Scholarship (GTS)

Up to $1500 a semester

Info and Availability:
-Is a legal resident of the State of Mississippi
-Seeking a first Master’s Degree and a Class ‘AA’ educator’s license
-Is fully admitted as a regular student in a graduate school of education at one eligible Mississippi university or college
-Hold a valid Class “A” Mississippi Educator’s License
-Is currently under contract as a full-time classroom or specific subject area teacher in an accredited public school (K-12) in Mississippi
-Complete the on-line application and submit all supporting documentation by the April 30th deadline (Letter of Acceptance accepted through June 30)

Amount:
Up to $3000 annually toward their undergraduate loans for a maximum of four years

Info and Availability:
-You are currently holding a Mississippi Alternate Route Teaching License.
-You are currently holding a teaching position in a Mississippi public school district located in a critical teacher or subject shortage area.
-You have undergraduate student loans in your name. Perkins and Graduate-level loans do not qualify.
-You are not currently in default or delinquent on any Federal, Sate, or local educational loan.
-You have not received funds from the Critical Needs Teacher Loan/Scholarship Program or the William Winter Teacher Scholar Loan Program.

Must be enrolled as a junior or senior to receive a Class A teaching license and be a legal resident of Mississippi.
