Missouri Alternative Teacher Certification

Alternative Missouri teacher certification programs are offered through a variety of programs and institutions.

Missouri allows prospective teachers with bachelor degrees to attend a teacher preparation course at a college of education, while simultaneously teaching with a two-year provisional certificate.
